Anyone can look up a Nepali company free on OCR's company search, at company.ocr.gov.np, by name, registration number or PAN. It shows the English and Nepali names, registration number, PAN, company type, status, address and registration date. To see which returns your own company still owes, log in to its CAMIS account, where each filed year and each outstanding return appears.
Look up any company
- Open OCR's company search at company.ocr.gov.np.
- Search by name, registration number or PAN, and answer the simple sum check.
- Read the result: the status shows whether the company is active or closed, alongside its registration date and address.
Treat the public search as a starting point. The filing history, fines and shareholders come from the company's own CAMIS account or from certified copies.
See your own company's overdue returns
Log in to CAMIS. Once a return under Section 80 is filed, CAMIS works out any fine automatically, and after payment a digitally signed letter arrives in the account. Note the last fiscal year filed and the paid-up capital, then use our OCR fine check for an estimate, and our compliance check for everything else that may be due.

Official letters and copies
OCR issues its letters digitally signed through CAMIS. Copies of documents cost Rs 10 a page on OCR's published fee list. For a bank or a tender, we can arrange certified copies.
Lost the CAMIS login?
Use Forgot Password on the CAMIS login page: enter the company's verified email and a one-time code goes to the registered phone. If both the email and the phone have changed, access has to be recovered through OCR, and we can handle that for you.
Questions people ask
Is OCR's company search free?
Yes. It needs no login, only a simple sum check, and searches by name, registration number or PAN.
Can I see a company's shareholders on the search?
Not on the public result. Shareholder details sit in the company's annual returns and registers, which the company can get as certified copies.
How do I know if my company is up to date?
In CAMIS, every fiscal year should show its annual return as filed. If any year is missing, the company is not updated and Section 81 fines apply to each late return.
What does a late annual return cost?
It depends on paid-up capital and how late it is: from Rs 1,000 up to 3 months late for a small company, rising to Rs 5,000, Rs 10,000 or Rs 20,000 for each further year depending on capital (Section 81).
